About Autoerotic
This project was created to present a healthy and positive view of erotica, body image and self-expression through photography. The photographs within this project come from everyday people, not professional models or mainstream adult websites. The intention behind this project is for the viewer to develop a better relationship with self-image and self-esteem through a presentation of different body images, while expressing personal defintions of erotica.
The definiton of erotica is not limited to striking a pose in front of the lens and pushing a button. An elbow, a wrist, the way clothes can hang on the hips, all of these examples – and many more – are entirely valid definitons of erotica. Don’t be afraid to explore and, more importantly, enjoy the process.
Support positive sexual identity and body image through photography, and don’t be afraid to submit your own entry. The only definitons of erotica within this space are the ones that you create. Remember, this is about empowerment, not exploitation.
This project is not intended to operate as a listing of online personals, thus the omission of photographers’ e-mail addresses and/or website URLs.
In accordance with national state, city and local laws, images featuring genitalia, penetration or bodily fluids will not be shown on this site. Such prohibition allows young adults to view the site, as well as provide an experience for individuals to look beyond what is expected of erotica and create a different perspective.
