My Jesus Phone fails to deliver

A week has passed since I downloaded the Software Update for iPhone, and while I no longer experience constant response latency when writing e-mails or text messages, my calls are dropped for no reason. I will not even be moving when blam! I lose the call and my clients are wondering if I purposely disconnected.

A friend of mine who works at a Genius Bar told me that nary a Genius uses the iPhone on the AT&T network: they are hacked and working with carriers like T-Mobile. My friend told me that if I am paired with a Genius who is using an iPhone with AT&T, ask to speak with another Genius.

As for my dropped calls, he recommended switching off 3G service and just sticking with Edge. This solution might keep me from pissing off my clients, but what about the sticker price I’m paying for supposed 3G service?

I know Apple zealots will forever sing the praises of Apple and find a way to slam Microsoft in the same breath. Those batshit crazy people aside, I expected better from Apple than to sell people a crock of shit. I miss the service I received with T-Mobile, my coverage was reliable and only 3 calls were dropped throughout the course of my account. I only wish Apple considered partnering with all phone companies instead of just AT&T. That way, I wouldn’t want to see the head of Steve Jobs explode.
