lolligift

Brand Identity, Site Design

lolligift* is a brilliant offering based on a simple idea: bring people together and pool money for a gift. Working with the client, my job was to produce a visual identity package and site design. I looked to the idea behind lolligift for inspiration and let simplicity rule the brand.

A Circle of Friends

The visual identity started as a brand sketch with overlapping circles of color connected to ascending stems of the lettermark, but the idea of friends contributing differently to a gift pool was better represented through a group of different colored shapes. The logo is supported by the tagline “gift together”, and the site name is presented with a clean lettermark that evokes shared relationships.

Colors used on the site were derived from the brand color palette: contain information in light blues & greys, and energize site actions in light red. The font choice of Helvetica for the brand & site provides accessibility to everyone, regardless of computer, and always keeps content legible.
